The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) is the strategic housing authority and largest social housing landlord in Northern Ireland. Established in 1971, it was created to unify housing responsibilities previously held by 65 separate authorities, and is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Communities.
Rose Regeneration was appointed by NIHE to carry out a Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis of their Social Enterprise Plus Programme (2019-2024). The analysis shows for every £1.00 invested, £5.09 of social and economic value is returned. The findings of this work formed part of the evidence base to create a new Social Enterprise Strategy.
