We are evaluating a grants programme that provided funding to rural enterprises.

Between 2008 and 2022 the grant programme allocated £3.53 million to 140 projects, leading to the creation of 181 new direct jobs. We are exploring the social capital generated by the programme (e.g. capacity building, innovation, collaboration and networking) and quantifying the social value delivered by it. The findings of this work will be used to inform future programmes and investment.
