This report sets out the key characteristics of the economy of Tees Valley through a rural lens.
It details the impact of COVID-19 on employment and services; identifies two very distinct rural areas [West and East]; considers linkages and commuting between settlements; and how the trends in the Tees Valley compare to the regional and national pictures.
It was commissioned by Tees Valley Rural Action and not only provides the charity and its partners with an up-to-date picture of the area but also opportunities to develop new initiatives.
