We are evaluating a Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) Programme.
CLLD is a new way of delivering local development using structural funds from Europe, including the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. In England CLLD is managed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). Over the next two-years we will be evaluating the CLLD Programme in Wisbech. The programme is focusing on interventions that seek to:
Address poor employment opportunities, economic inactivity and work poverty.
Tackle barriers to employment (e.g. low aspirations, health conditions).
Support marginalised communities to increase their participation in community learning programmes.
Improve access to services.
Our evaluation covers process (an assessment of how the programme is being implemented and if it is being delivered as was intended at the outset), impact (an assessment of the achievements of the programme on beneficiaries), and economic (how much the programme costs and if it is offering value for money). We will be producing an interim and final report setting out our findings.
